About Polar Night Vodka:

Vinal Winery was established in 1947 and is situated in the city of Lovech (north-central Bulgaria) in the Danube Plain, one of the five main viticultural regions in the country.

Its vineyards encompass both international and local grape varieties, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Muscat Ottonel, Muscat of Alexandria, Dimyat, Pamid, Gamza, Varna Muscatel, and Viogner.

It maintains a wide production range, including white, rose and red wines (dry, semi-dry, semi-sweet, dessert, sparkling), fruit liquors, vermouth, vodka, gin, brandy, etc. The average wine production per year is 8,500,000 and the wine storage facilities have a capacity exceeding 13,000,000 liters.

“Lovech is one of the oldest settled places in Bulgaria. The city is built on the remains of the Thracian settlement Melta and the Roman city Presidium. The Hisarya Fortress was built during the First Bulgarian Empire (681-1018 CE). When the peace treaty between Bulgaria and Byzantium was signed here, it marked the beginning of the Second Bulgarian Empire and the end of Byzantine rule over Bulgaria that had lasted two centuries.”

“The Hisarya Fortress above Lovech is one of the last remaining Ottoman citadels.”

“The symbol of Lovech is the covered bridge that spans the Osam River, connecting the old and new quarters. It was built in 1872-1874 by one of the era’s best-known master builders, Kolyu Ficheto.”
